A few days back the Chinese Foreign Minister met with NSA Mr. Ajit Doval and EAM Dr. Jaishankar. The statements issued by China and India are very interesting. It looks like China is trying hard to get India on its side !!

3/ Chinese media outlets, including the Global Times, seem to be reflecting the Chinese govt attempt to say India shares Beijing-Moscow’s Ukraine stance, & warn it against the west
4/ Chinese embassies are using clips from Indian media to suggest India shares China’s POV

5/ First I thought this was just a China thing, but whether it’s coordinated or in parallel, Moscow’s now echoing this Russia-India-China world line as well…
6/ Russian officials have been warning India vs the west — or using US/Europe unhappiness w India — to fuel friction for a while now.
But the touting of the alleged “Russia-India-China bloc” seems more recent
7/ None of this was unpredictable or unexpected — hence India speedily releasing a readout of its own messaging that Delhi & Beijing do not speak with one voice — but fascinating nonetheless to watch this attempt to portray India as being part of a Russia-India-China bloc.

Why is China trying so hard to make it appear as though India is aligned with them on the Ukraine-Russia war ?
My analysis based on pure gut feel and nothing else is – China is prepping hard for the take over of Taiwan. They swallowed Tibet without a single major country standing up against it. India stupidly handed over the Security Council seat to China way back when we had the paragon of peace as the Prime Minister.
India is the only genuine alternative to China for the rest of the world. We have a few advantages that are unbeatable – young English speaking workforce, stable democratically elected government and reliable financial systems. China doesn’t have any of these advantages – so the international bully wants the world to believe India-China “bhai bhai” (brother brother). Ain’t happening bro !
For a long time now Taiwan has been in the Chinese cross hairs. The Ukraine Russia war may be the best time to gobble them up while the “developed” countries play their media games.
Hoping that I am wrong … but the still small voice in my gut says, am not. Picture Abhi baki hai … like the famous Shah Rukh Khan dialogue.
