The book “A Year Under Sharia Law” is a memoir of Alex and Elizabeth Fletcher’s time teaching English in Saudi Arabia. They struggle with cultural differences, dress code, and restrictions, and their experience ends with a party being busted by the religious police. The book offers glimpses of Saudi culture but lacks enough insight to form a solid opinion.
