We spent 7th night at New Jersey and met with some friends and office colleagues the next day at Jersey. Left for Chicago on the evening of the 8th. The first experience of Southwest Airlines that didnt go very well. The next four days were spent at dear old Staybridge Suites in Lincolnshire, Chicago … Have spent so many nights here and this was an opportunity to show the place to Krishnan.
On Friday, July 12, I went to the Allen Center, at Northwestern University, Evanston for the Kellogg Term and Krishnan went to Houston.
The beautiful “Heavenston” campus … As a friend calls Evanston 🙂
The classroom at Kellogg’s Allen Center
Krishnan at NASA, Houston
Krishnan at Austin and San Antonio
Krishnan at the Houston Zoo and the Butterfly museum
On July 20th, I left from Chicago and Krishnan left from Houston to reach Philadelphia for the Wharton term. We stayed at the Inn at Penn, on the Sansom street and Walnut Street.
The Apple store on the Walnut street .. Krishnan went to the store 4 days out of the 6 days, so often that even the one time customers recognised him 🙂 Whatever Samsung does and whatever be their market share, Apple’s mind and heart share is intact and growing. RIP Steve – your creations are running off the shelves sooner than you can fill them.
In the classroom at the Steinberg Center, Wharton School –
The team working (sweating) on Markstrat :):)
Long involved discussions with Benjamin Franklin on the park bench.. I told him about the iPad and Krishnan probably is explaining the latest HBR issue to Ben :):) many of my classmates tried explaining different things to the smart first “American” man and he was clearly amused.
