A Train to Moscow is a beautifully written book by Elena Gorokhova. Takes you behind the iron curtain post WWII. Worth a read !
Finished reading The Dressmaker’s Gift by Fiona Valpy a couple of days back. It’s historical fiction and a two timeline story. Worth a read.
This is another two timeline book by Rhys Bowen. Interesting but not quite like The Venice Sketchbook. My rating is 3/5, a one time read only.

An amazing true life story about the Martels finding their Green Valley in Montana, US. They survive the Long Trek, Stalin’s rule, and WWII.
