Thirupaavai Paasuram #15
In Paasuram #15 Andal showcases good friendships that stay strong despite arguments :).
This blog is our space to write about our thoughts, views and notes about our travels. Osho owned 90 Rolls Royces while being a Sanyasi …. The so-felt contradiction is very fascinating and hence the name !
In Paasuram #15 Andal showcases good friendships that stay strong despite arguments :).
In Paasuram #14, Andal speaks about keeping one’s promises. In the guise of chiding her friend, she is letting us know that we should be watchful while promising something.
In Paasuram #13 Andal speaks about how over sleeping robs you of valuable time. It’s so true … we waste so much time when we are young and then have little time as we age to do things we always wanted to.
Paasuram #12 is all about persistence and grit in the face of constraints as we try and reach our goals in life… a beautiful song !
Andal hints at Satsang in this Thirupaavai Paasuram #11. Masters who have attained Moksha use several methods to take others on the spiritual path… these paasurams are Andal’s way of doing the same.
In Paasuram #10 we see a persistent Andal trying to get another friend who sleeps like Kumbhakarna to join in the Margazhi celebration ! With friends only “chatting” over WhatsApp this is a refreshing paasuram. 🙂
Thirupaavai Paasuram #9 has been written for the well-to-do modern man who only wants to get richer ! Its a call to find yourself and get onto the spiritual path towards Moksha.
Thirupaavai Paasuram #8 is all about teamwork and not leaving anyone behind as a leader. Beautiful poem again !
Thirupaavai Paasuram #7 is all about waking up another friend of Andal with a different set if examples. The Samudra Manthan is alluded to as well.
Paasuram #6 is a call to awake and become aware by Andal. She urges all her friends and all of us to wake up and grow in awareness.
