Ponniyin Selvan – Samadhi
On Dec 25th we visited the samadhi of the great emperor Raja Raja Chola aka Ponniyin Selvan near Kumbakonam. Very sad to see him lie beneath an asbestos roofed shed 🙁

We visited the Chennimalai Subramania Swamy Temple on Nov 24th. It’s a beautiful, serene 3000 year old temple on a small hill, near Erode.
On seeing a gas cylinder being used for road laying work in the morning I remembered the Coimbatore blast on Oct 23rd. Thankfully the Sangameswarar temple built by Karikala Chola stands !!
