Today marks the 11th National Handloom Day. Celebrating it in a Akola Chundri block printed saree. I do want to keep emphasizing about our weaving heritage and supporting local weavers. #ILoveHandlooms

I celebrated my birthday at the eco-friendly Mud House “Van Bhoj”, enjoying simple home-cooked food and tranquil surroundings. Ofcourse Bhagwan Ram choosing to celebrate his birthday with me this year was totally divine !
Today is World Saree Day, and I celebrated in a copper sulphate blue Negamam saree. Twinning with Krishnan, who wore a similar coloured T-shirt.

National Handloom Day on Aug 7 commemorates the Swadeshi movement’s launch in 1905, promoting indigenous industries. PM Modi declared it the National Handloom Day. I celebrated with a handwoven Ilkal.

Celebrated my 55th birthday on two days as per the Julian and Hindu calendar. Wore a Moirangphee and a Kanchi Silk saree for each occasion. Also visited a couple of temples and watched Swatantrya Veer Savarkar at a theatre.
