Ah Marina !

The second longest beach in the world, is in Chennai. The Marina beach is a walker’s paradise. Many many people come there regularly to walk, run and cycle early in the morning. We have been going there every couple of days for long walks and we have seen several business honchos and well known people out walking. The pictures below are from different days and capture the beauty of the sea and  some of the old buildings etc.

Look at the beautiful morning sky and the way the water looks when the sun rays fall on it…
Krishnan had jumped into this very pool as a little boy when he didn’t know how to swim !! Boys will be boys 🙂
Glad to see the “Swachch” Bharat campaign running here … unfortunately people still litter and don’t use these bins that have been kept all over the beach. Also the spelling “Swatch” is probably closer phonetically to the Hindi pronunciation of the word. Yeah its also a watch company.. hope they contribute to keeping Chennai clean.
Cant get enough of the play of sunlight over the sea … beautiful.
Krishnan’s shadow is taller than the tallest man alive !! How cool is that.
Daybreak from inside the car 🙂
The lighthouse
The mighty road laying machines do their work and in a few hours, we have brand new, well laid roads … we didn’t realise it then, but it was in preparation for the CM’s visit.

Plastic bags ? But we can't live without those... the world too can't live, if they are used.
