I had seen a saree of the same colour that Gopinath had posted which was with pure Zari. I didn’t want pure zari and asked him if he could make the same one with thread instead of Zari. He did and that’s the saree I wore for my birthday this year !
Its a stunning fuchsia pink and ofcourse pure handwoven Kanchi silk. Draping it was a pleasure and I am sure this saree would be worn many many times for decades. Thank you Gopinath.
I received the customary greetings from PM Modi .. even if its done by his team and its because am registered on the MyGov website, the gesture is much appreciated. Felt thrilled to receive the email.
Several friends called and birthday wishes poured in right through the day… am yet to thank several friends who wished on FB. I forgot that I have an account still 🙄. A special thank you to all of you to have made my special day even more special.
This birthday was also special because I was celebrating it at Appa and Amma’s house at Hyderabad after 33 years. I celebrated my 1988 birthday in this house when I was in college and living here while Dad was posted in Vizag.
Had a wonderful birthday and looking forward to a wonderful year :).
