Our 25th long road trip, covering 2648 kms to Coimbatore, included a stop in Kota. Discovered dal Kachoris from Ratan Sweets. Simply outstanding.
On Jan 6th, we visited the historic Sri Cheluvanarayana Swami Temple in Melukote, notable for its existence since Krita Yuga. Bhagwan Ram and Krishna have prayed here. #KrishnansTempleTrails
On January 18th, we did a day trip to Kochi to meet Ashwin and Kripa’s newborn son. This was a typical day for us … enjoying a road trip !
The trip from Coimbatore to Mysore through the Dhimbam Ghat section features 27 hairpin bends and scenic views. We also pass through the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve.
Second half of Sept 3, 2024, we explored Nuwara Eliya’s Damro Tea Factory, and Bhakt Hanuman Temple at Ramboda.
The journey to Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, included a train ride, scenic views, and most importantly a visit to the Sita Amman Kovil. Biggest highlight of our trip. Jai Shri Ram 🙏🏿
On Sept 2, 2024, the journey from Negombo to Kandy included a stop at the Pinnawela Elephant Sanctuary. After that we proceeded to Kandy, struggled a bit to find our hotel but reached safely.
On Sept 1, 2024, at Earl’s Regent, Negombo, we enjoyed a leisurely day, relishing a buffet breakfast, exploring temples, and dining at Planta.
Krishnan and I traveled from Chennai to Sri Lanka, enjoying a smooth airport experience and discovering pleasant surprises like digital payments and delicious vegetarian food in Negombo.
