For all the years that I worked in the BPO industry, we would draw up the Fog BCP (business continuity plan) between Dec 15 to Jan 15. This year foggy days came a little later but they did come.
We couldn’t see the block of apartments in front of our block from the kitchen window. Krishnan and I decided to get down for our walk around 10 am and once again, it was foggy !
We read about several trains and flights getting late and even canceled. A couple of days later, it did clear up a bit but it got really cold. The last week till Friday has been really cold with temperatures at 9 deg C even in the afternoon and hardly any Sun. We tried going for our walks around 2 pm in the afternoon but the cold air and no sunlight made it difficult.
When the fog cleared up a bit, it got really cold – 12 Deg C at 2 pm in the afternoon and a cold breeze.
Just a couple of days back, Krishnan went to run the car for a few minutes to warm it up. It took the car nearly 30 minutes to get warmed up :):). The temperature was 9 Deg C at about 11.30 am.
Yesterday and today we have had the Sun come out, so it has been pleasant.
Today is Lohri. Happy Lohri folks !
I can hear the drums being played for Lohri. We will celebrate Boghi tomorrow and Pongal on Monday which is also the change of the month from Margazhi to Thai. For Lohri I cleared out the cupboard that works as our Puja room. Its also in preparation for Jan 22nd, the day Bhagwan Ram will be back in Ayodhya 🙏🏿.
Enjoying our favourite Winters :).
