Jan 6th was my blogging anniversary :). I had started writing blogs courtesy Nisha on Jan 1, 2012 but not on WordPress. I transferred the couple of blogs that I had written on e-blogger or blogspot to WordPress on Jan 6th and haven’t looked for any other platform since. I am a total fan of WordPress and their Happiness Engineers ❤️.
Speak of the Happiness Engineers, I needed one on the 6th as images wouldnt load. All my issues were sorted by Mohammad, a Happiness Engineer at WordPress. When you get awesome customer service, why look elsewhere.
2023 – Blogging Review
I have not been blogging very regularly in 2023. There were just 169 posts and even though I had more views than 2022, I am not happy about the fewer posts.
Writing is cathartic for me … it puts me in a positive frame of mind for the day and I guess it gets my creative juices flowing. Each one of us has our own medium of expression and mine is writing.
Blogging has got me into troubled waters, have lost a few friends and have got nasty comments on some of my political ponderings. That said, I have also made a few friends from all over the world. For me the world of blog writing is exactly like “Pen Pals”. If you are 50+ then you would know what I mean.
All through school and college I tried making friends through writing letters. Now it’s through writing blogs :). There are three people I wish, could read my blogs – my father-in-law, my father and my English teacher Vidyasagar Sir. My father-in-law and my father are no more, and I haven’t tried sending Vidyasagar Sir any links to my blogs. Maybe I should do that.
This year has dawned on the right note as I have blogged every single day. Hoping to keep up the momentum. Do share your comments on what you like and also on what you don’t like. I enjoy the interaction and get to learn so much through these interactions.
Looking forward to a year of daily blogging and who knows maybe writing “that” book after all !! I have a view on most things in life but am also open to different points of view – I take no offence if you don’t like what I write, but I value the engagement.
