One of my all time favourite sports hero has announced his retirement ! After Kapil Dev, who was my first idol, it was Rahul Dravid that I considered a true hero. He remains a contemporary of the more famous legend, Sachin Tendulkar, but his statistics are nothing short of the great man … If anyone has a doubt whether perseverance pays – just read about Rahul Dravid’s cricketing career. There is just one word to describe it – Perseverance.
