After nearly two months of being away, Krishnan and I went out for our morning walk inside the condominium today. Met lots of old friends, neighbours and also managed to walk enough. That’s the best thing about the Gurgaon condominiums, there are walking tracks, open gyms etc, so no excuses to not exercise. They are also very safe with multiple layers of security.
My favourite spot for photographs is as we turn towards Gate 1. This was the scene that greeted us today in the morning –
It looks like Nature is playing holi … yellow, red, green and many other colours thrown in the mix ! We enjoyed the crisp early morning air. It was bright and sunny by 9 am and we even got a whole batch of washing done !
Around 4 in the afternoon, Amma wanted to bring in some of the clothes that were drying in our balcony and that’s when we looked out and saw that it was overcast. Initially we thought it would not rain and that it would just be humid and dusty winds. We were wrong. By 6.45 pm, it started to rain and the skies darkened.
We had to close the window and the balcony doors because rain was splashing onto the floor … thunder and lightening put on a great audio visual show and the world turned magical.
Just got me thinking that some days are exactly this way.. they start out sunny and end up being rainy and the opposite is also true. Some days start out as rainy days but end up with amazing rainbows.
Wrote the following poem after ages …
Sunny morning and a rainy evening…
Rainy morning and a rainbow evening,
What’s to like or dislike ?
What’s to love or hate?
All that goes around, comes around !
Time moves over the same landscape
You age and moments of déjà vu,
Light up a lazy morning ..
The last hour of life
Spent with a quick rewound tape
A goodbye to one spin on the giant wheel
Then hopping onto another circus,
A new act, a new cast, a new family
Anger and frustration, the dark clouds
Love and friendship, the colorful rainbow
New plants to tend
Old habits to change
Either a middling life
Or a crescendo crashing on the shores of success
Will writes our destiny … the first step taken
A path is forged,
The forks can lead to better times
Or the tines can pin you down
Gather the will again,
Destiny awaits your decision.
Rain and rainbows
Sun and life bursting forth
All in nature is right and
All in life is good
… Take that turn, adventure awaits !!
So go ahead, take that turn, begin the adventure :).
