For some strange reason, Krishnan and I woke up at 2 am in the morning today and then finally we were up at 4.30 am as we were starting our road trip to Pune. Little did we know then that just 80 mins after we woke up, our Air Force jets had just dropped 1000 kg bombs on terror camps across the LOC. So we started off on our trip and 65 kms later we stopped at Haldirams to have our breakfast and saw this breaking news on Twitter !
We celebrated with Halwa Poori because this was the right thing to do ! We felt so proud of our Air Force and of course of our decisive PM Mr. Modi who gave a free hand to the armed forces to retaliate against Terroristan as they saw fit. I am no pacifist because fanatical terrorism wouldn’t end with peace treaties, handshakes and diplomacy. Osama Bin Laden wouldn’t have turned into Mahatma Gandhi after sessions with a shrink or coaching from a world class coach. The US spoke to him in the only language that he understood and finally India is beginning to speak the right language with Terroristan. For long we have ignored the biggest message in the Bhagavad Gita – “Fight the Just war”. Negative forces cannot be dealt with positive messages – they need 1000 Kg bombs that obliterate their hideouts and vaporise them.
I saw this interesting tweet about today being the 53rd Punyatithi of the great Veer Savarkar who has been painted into the Hindutva corner, by certain snot-dripping-pale-skinned Congis because a certain great grandfather of theirs spent time in jails where the curtains were changed to his favourite colour while Veer Savarkar was incarcerated in a “double” jail at the infamous cellular jail. I have been to that cellular jail in Andamans and tears welled up when I thought of those freedom fighters who were jailed there. Veer Savarkar survived that and was no pacifist.
Some of the Overseas Citizens of Pakistani living in India, working in some media houses and running some businesses were understandably upset on this bombing. They have reason to be worried – the lucrative businesses that they have built up here in India may all be gone and the extra money that was coming their way from Pakistan will also be stopped. So they put up a brave front. Kudos to them and am sure the Indian Air Force will happily air-drop them with or without parachutes anytime they wish to be back on their soil. As the following tweet shows, the IAF can refuel mid-air, so they wouldn’t have to worry about running out of fuel.
As the opposition leaders are generous with their whole hearted praise for the IAF but sniffling around the government’s role, someone from their ranks called their bluff –

Some pig-headed anti-national garbage had tweeted “How’s the Jaish” when the dastardly Pulwama attack occurred…. hope he/she/it got the answer – “all dead” and the remaining scum will also be cleared soon.
Indian Air Force, you did indeed “Touch the Sky with Glory” and rained havoc on our enemies. Jai Hind.
