Recently Mr. Nainar Nagendran was elected as the TamilNadu BJP President, replacing TN’s beloved Annamalai. Are we hardcore fans of Annamalai – YES. Were we disappointed with this decision of BJP – NO. Even Amma was not upset about this change because she knows that Annamalai WILL be TamilNadu’s Chief Minister one day.
The AIADMK alliance is crucial to dethrone the DMK. If EPS demanded that Annamalai should not be the BJP Party President in TN in order to have the alliance, BJP was right in giving into that demand. When you have to defeat a well entrenched party like DMK, popularity alone is not enough. BJP as a party doesn’t have the vote share to win the TamilNadu elections on its own.
I have a question for all those who are crying on X, on FB and every other social media platform … Why did Annamalai lose the Lok Sabha elections from Coimbatore ?? Why did you or your fellow Tamizhan vote for the DMK candidate ? Mr. Ganapathy Rajkumar won against Annamalai by nearly 1.2 lakh votes. Where were all of you then ?
Stop second guessing the BJP leadership and snivelling about Annamalai being slighted. Far from being slighted, he is being groomed for a bigger role.
My Personal Prediction for Annamalai
As a first step, Annamalai will most likely become the BJP Party’s National President. It’s pretty obvious that Mr. Modi and Amit Shah are grooming Annamalai by exposing him to different responsibilities. He is clearly their blue eyed boy and rightfully so. Annamalai is a “Lambi Race Ka Ghoda” … some DMK dumeel can please translate for their leader named “Stalin” 🙄.
Once the elections are done in 2026, Annamalai may still not be made the CM if BJP doesn’t win substantial number of seats. He will continue to be in important national positions till 2031. TamilNadu’s wish will come true in the 2031 elections with Annamalai becoming the Chief Minister.
And yes someday he WILL be the Prime Minister of Bharat.

My notes on TN Politics
I cover in this post - who initiated this alliance, why this alliance, what this means for BJP and Annamalai.
Who initiated this alliance?
~ Not EPS although AIADMK Leaders wished for an alliance.
~ If EPS initiated, it wouldn't be this early, certainly not so silently. He would have thrown some weight before agreeing to go with BJP.
~ Remember, it was never BJP, but AIADMK who ditched the alliance and spoke Geervanam.
Why this alliance?
~ As I have said before, this is not good for the short and medium term growth of BJP in the state.
~ This is an example of BJP putting Nation First, Party Second, and Self Third.
~ @AmitShah wanted no nonsense or showdowns before the 2026 election and forced this on EPS for a big reason
~ As I have written in 2024 before the State Elections, EPS has cross voted DMK and fielded weaker candidates to facilitate a DMK win.
~ If down and out for 2026 without a valid alliance, he will join hands with DMK and repeat 2024. This will do two things:
Endanger national security. I have written prolific posts on this and the reason why RN Ravi is the Governor.
It will destroy three generations of Tamizh people. Drug, Alcohol, and Movie will ensure the fall of the State in the next 5 years.
~ So, to prevent the Kerala like situation where Congress and Communists play tactical politics to keep BJP away, Amit Shah had to forge an alliance with EPS.
What does this mean for BJP?
~ The influence of Dravidian ideology (GU Pope and Caldwell) is many decades older and deep rooted in Tamizh people than Communism in Malayali's veins.
~ Instead of focusing on BJP's growth, looks like Shah has decided to reform AIADMK back to its Nationalist core.
~ Take it from me, as I wrote before, EPS's only consolation is the CM Chair. He isn't happy and will take time for him to reform himself.
~ Even if EPS becomes the CM, he will be influenced/controlled by clean BJP leaders.
What does this mean to Annamalai?
~ It's best Nainar Nagendran handle this than @annamalai_k as Annamalai has an opportunity to do something bigger
~ Without a major alliance with AIADMK, NDA won't win TN. Even with AIADMK, vote transfer will happen only because the alliance is sealed so early.
~ If no alliance, and BJP does not win in 2026, then what will happen to Annamalai?
~ As I have written many times before, between 4 - 8 lacs foot soldiers are needed for BJP to create solid vote cadres. That has not happened yet.
~ If EPS did what he did in 2024, which was cross voting and facilitating DMK win, then Annamalai will not be able to show the power of his work. It will be spoilt.
~ I predicted in April 2024 that Annamalai will not win Coimbatore. I also said for that EPS was to blame. What if this repeated in 2026?
~ As I have said, Amit Shah is Abhinava Chanakya. He knows how to protect Annamalai, as he has to make him the new King.
~ If I know the BJP Leaders well, you will see Annamalai continuing to be the influencer at the decision level as well as in mass mobilisation.
~ He will be BJP's face for not only TN, but the whole country.
