We were at the Okha ferry point on Sept 13, 2023, just five months back. The overflowing boats didn’t give us much confidence so we decided not to visit Beyt Dwarka, despite getting the tickets. Yesterday, PM Modi inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu, Bharat’s longest cable stayed bridge that connects the mainland with the island of Beyt Dwarka.

Now we will certainly be back to Dwarka to drive over this newly built Sudarshan Setu and visit Beyt Dwarka… the place that Sudama gifted poha to my beloved Krishna. Beyt Dwarka was Dwarkadhish’s residence and Dwarka was his office :).
I just hope that PM Modi’s visit ensured that the Dwarkadhish Mandir got cleaned up as did the Okha pier. Not just the boats but the whole area had to be cleaned up. It was filthy and not very welcoming.
