Jai Shri Ram !! Jai Jai Shri Ram !!
Tomorrow ModiJi will not only do Prana Pratishtha for Bhagwan Ram’s murti at Ayodhya Dham, but he will actually be doing Bharat’s Prana Pratishtha. For nearly 1000 years, we have been plundered, colonised and our soul has been enslaved. Indians forgot who they were, the glory of their ancestors, the scientific temper and the cultural virasat (heritage) that runs through this landmass called Jambudweepa, जम्बूद्वीपे भारतवर्षे भरतखण्डे – Jambudweepe Bharatavarshe Bharatakhande … on the continent of Jambudweepa is the nation Bharat named after Emperor Bharat (the son of Dushyant and Shakuntala).
While India got its independence from the colonial British on Aug 15, 1947, Bharat remained in chains. Our once prosperous land was reduced to utter poverty thanks to the looting that continued well beyond 1947. Our scriptures, our temples, our way of life was systematically ridiculed and denigrated to such an extent that I am writing this blog in the language of the colonial powers :(. Thankfully I can write the same in Hindi and Tamil, two Bharatiya languages, but Sanskrit, the Deva Vani (Language of the Gods) is temporarily lost in the fog of colonialism and useless politics. Some day I hope to blog in Sanskrit as a way of re-learning the language of the Gods.
With Bhagwan Ram coming home to Ayodhya finally after 550+ years of Vanvas (exile) has brought out the Bharatiya in all of us. Our condominium is amongst the many that have collected money from the residents and is preparing for a grand celebration tomorrow. Across the country and actually across the world, Bhagwan Ram has re-ignited Bhakti and dharma.
Here are a few photographs from Ayodhya Dham that Sakshi, our young tour guide sent to me yesterday.
Do watch the following video that showcases the different stages of construction. Asianet’s Executive Chairman, Mr. Rajesh Kalra has visited the Ramjanmabhoomi mandir site four times and chronicled the entire journey from inception to consecration. This is the most comprehensive coverage of the Mandir construction.
In Preparation of Pran Pratishtha @ Home
Bhagwan Ram came home on Oct 27, 2022. He has since been the centre of our home mandir. The foundation for him at home is made up of Amma’s notebooks that have crores of “Sri Rama Jayam” written in them. My paternal grandmother, Rajamani Paati also used to write Rama Nama everyday. I have one of her notebooks as well. Amma has been writing Rama Nama since she was 7 and several notebooks with Rama Nama have gone under the foundation of many temples across Bharat. A couple are also at the Ramjanmabhoomi Mandir.
We will light 108 ghee lamps tomorrow to celebrate the true Deepavali.
Celebrate the liberation of Bharat’s soul from the bondage of its invaders and colonial masters. May our nation once again become Rama Rajya – the place where Dharma rules. Jai Siya Ram.
Raja Ramachandra Ki Jai.
