Are You A Hindu ?

As the Pran Prathishta for Bhagwan Ram’s murti at the Ram Janmabhoomi mandir, Ayodhya Dham nears, there is an outpouring of Bhakti and ofcourse a bus load of negative, derogatory noise. I told Krishnan in the afternoon today that the genie is out of the lamp … now there is no putting it back in. The Genie of Hindu revivalism. It’s much needed in the fragmented tortured world of today. The only balm that will work to heal the world is the egalitarian inclusive Hindu ethos.

I have never thought of Hinduism as a religion but am happy to be Hindu in thought and action. I belong to a lineage of seekers, saints, mystics and Gods who have made the world a better place by just their presence. As a Hindu I have access to scriptures that explain the unexplainable and show me the path of dharma. Dharma is staying true to yourself, exploring your potential and living upto it.

A Hindu life is about letting others live and thrive, without bothering about “bringing them around” to your point of view. All debates are welcome and all dogmas can be frowned upon. Interpretations of every shloka ever written is welcome and discussions are a part of every discourse. The myriad ways that you can find your eternal self or merge with the universal energy is because each one of us is unique – for me Bhakti may work, for you Sadhna may work, for someone else “Tarq” may work. Every path is right.

The Tree is divine, so is the Cow and so is the Calculator or Computer that you use… On the day of Saraswati Puja we keep all the tools of learning in our Puja room and pray to Maa Saraswati that we gain knowledge. On Vishwakarma day or Ayudha Puja day we clean and decorate our cars, tools, assembly lines etc because they are sacred and divine. All of creation is sacred to a Hindu.

The Ram Mandir at Ayodhya Ji reflects the 600 year struggle to have our voice be heard. Our beloved Bhagwan Ram was born in Ayodhya and he left the mortal world through the Sarayu River …. and that Holy Ayodhya was plundered by barbarians and a Mosque built on top of the Mandir to showcase their victory. Successive rulers, colonisers and even a democratically elected government did nothing to rebuild the temple for centuries.

Finally on Nov 9, 2019 the Supreme Court gave the historic verdict and Bhagwan Ram got his home back. Do read my blogpost on that day – ஶ்ரீ ராம ஜெயம்! Jai Shri Ram !.

The Interviews That Riled the Hindu in Me

Why this blogpost ? Well two interviews prompted this. Both the interviews were done by HT’s Kumkum Chadha and both infuriated me. The condescending tone, the Queen’s English and the overall demeanour just put me off. Her program’s title is “The Interview”…

We watched “The Interview”, with Shri Nripendra Mishra Ji. While this interview had been released 5 months back, we got to see it a couple of days back. All the questions were fine, till the topic of Ramjanma Bhoomi mandir came up and after a few typical questions, Ms Kumkum Chadha asked Shri Nripendra Mishra Ji if this was a Hindu Mandir ? Shri Nripendra Mishra Ji is a very kind and compassionate man …. I would have been happy if he was scathing in his reply.

But Shri Mishra Ji answered her patiently about how the mandir belonged to humanity. He is totally right. I just did not like the question :(.

I have a couple of questions for Ms Kumkum Chadha – One, is the Vatican Church a Christian temple ? and two, is the Kaaba a Muslim place of worship ? I can go on to ask two more questions – can I become the Pope sometime during my lifetime ? two, can I become a Maulvi (don’t know the female equivalent) sometime during my lifetime and run a Mosque as an office bearer?

I will never get the chance to ask these questions to Ms Kumkum Chadha, but someone may send these questions to her and hopefully she is able to answer these. If she answers yes to the first set of two questions then she should know that her question about the Ramjanmabhoomi mandir was totally unwanted and downright rude. And if she answers no to the second set of two questions then she should thank her stars that she was born in Bharat and as a Hindu. It’s because she is a Hindu, Shri Nripendra Mishra Ji also is a Hindu and Bharat is a Hindu rashtra that she could ask that question and record The Interview. She must remember what happened to the cartoonists at Charlie Hebdo.

The second interview that the same Ms. Kumkum Chadha did was handled brilliantly by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. He gave it back to her in the language that she understands ! Hopefully she “got it”.

Do watch The Interview and her obnoxious questions to Sadhguru –

Bashing Hindus is Fashionable

These types of questions are only raised for Hindus. “Frenzy”, “obsession” – how dare she uses these words !! and then the stupid thing about the mandir being “divisive” and “bloody”. Am so glad that Sadhguru put her in her place. Madam Kumkum seems to be living in a different era and she has certainly read Bharat’s history written by the Nehruvian leftist distortians.

Bollywood jokers trying to say “Kanyadaan” is regressive… the same jokers name their children after invaders and barbarians. Dhimmi Hindus pay money and watch their movies. Now that we are not watching their movies, some of the scumbags have turned into Rambhakts.

I don’t have the energy to bash up the CONgress … they are just staying true to their founding principles and the Nehru dynastic rule of disregarding, disrespecting everything Hindu. Except when the family idiot tries to win an election by wearing the Janeu wrongly and stumbling over his own dhoti.

Here’s a very interesting thread written by Sreevidya Balasubrahmaniam (@BaluSreevidya) on X. Do read. Its scary and shows how vicious CONgress can be –

What is your Answer ?

If your answer to the question in my title is YES then my only request to you is – please celebrate Jan 22nd as Deepavali. It’s truly Deepavali for us as Bhagwan Ram is back in Ayodhya after 600+ years. At our condominium, we are making preparations. At home, we are making preparations and I will share that as a separate blogpost.

For motivation do listen to this short video clip of Ajeet Bharti. He said all that any Hindu wants to say today –

#HinduLivesMatter

Jai Shri Ram 🙏🏿 Jai Siya Ram 🙏🏿 Raja Ramchandra Ki Jai 🙏🏿

  1. Jai Shri Ram !! 🙏🙏🙏 You have so beautifully penned everything I have been feeling and not able to express in words…for a long time now. Cannot wait for Rama Rajya in Bharat again! This is the only way for humanity to live together in a “truly” inclusive and peaceful world.

I am yet to watch the interview with Mishra ji. However I saw how Sadhguru gave it back to her. Bloody and obsession – seriously ??? She’s not just woke, but entirely monstrous. Bloody? Yes!!! Hindu blood has been spilled on this land over and over again. Obsessive? We are steadfast in our devotion, if that is being obsessive then so be it.

Am I a Hindu? A thumping, proud YES! I am a Sanatani. My dharma teaches me to see Bhagawan in all creatures on this planet. It teaches me to practice my rituals with pride, while being respectful of others who have chosen other paths. It teaches me to visit temples to celebrate Bhagawan in all His forms, and also bow my head in respect when I pass by a church or a mosque. Live and let live is a Sanatani’s way of life.

I shall proudly wear symbols of my dharma – Bindhi, Vibhuti, Chandan, Kumkum. I shall be prostrating to Shri Rama, and with immense gratitude to all those atmas who gave their lives for HIM to return to Ayodhya. I shall respect what I have been requested to do…celebrate in spirit on Jan 22 from where I am. Because that day, Ayodhya belongs to those who toiled in every capacity to bring the Ram Mandir project to fruition. Jai Shri Ram 🙏🙏
