India did it …. We have administered a billion jabs of the Covid vaccine !! Its a billion jabs of hope, of beating back the Wuhan virus. What an outstanding achievement. Every Indian has contributed in this achievement – either as a front line health worker, doctor, scientist or just a citizen who got vaccinated.

We have had our share of doomsday predictors and naysayers. Sometimes it feels like everyone is waiting for India to fail. The pandemic has tested every single political leader in the world and am thrilled that Mr. Modi tops the list of world leaders, in the way he has handled this crisis.
There is a telling infographic that shows how long some vaccines took to reach India…. here we have a “Made in India” vaccine and we have managed to manufacture enough for 1 billion doses to be administered. What’s not to like about this statistic 🧐.

For the first time after a really long time (800+ years), India is becoming a leader again and shaking off its follower status. That is the real thing to celebrate !
