It was Poornima or full moon last night. For some strange reason I woke up at 11.20 pm nearly two hours after we had gone to bed and looked out of the door. The alluring full moon was bright and oh! so beautiful. The word Lunatic comes from the root Lunar which denotes the moon … Research says people do go mad on a full moon night. The lunatic asylums have more admissions and the inmates are visibly active as well.
I have always been following the full moon. I have tried to photograph it several times. For the past few years I have given up my cameras as the phone camera is more than sufficient to take pictures for creating memories. I don’t intend to become a photographer anyway. 🙂
This time I shot a short video as well. The clouds are moving and it feels like the moon is moving across the skies.
I also clicked a couple of photographs.
We wake up by 4.30 am on most days but I woke up at 4 am. The moon had indeed travelled in the sky and reached a different location. It was just as beautiful and breathtaking. I clicked a couple photographs again.
I still have my old cameras with amazing lenses. I should try and set it up before the next Poornima and get better photographs !
