I absolutely love Delhi … it’s the only place in the whole wide world that feels like home. With all its problems, Delhi still tugs at my heart strings. It’s the only city I miss if we are away for too long.
Besides the several thousand years of history that lies buried underneath, the other reason for loving Delhi is the weather from October to March. The winter unfortunately has been reduced to just a month and some years it has been around for just ten days but it’s still the best time of the year. For someone like me who loves wearing jackets, shawls and sweaters – winter is obviously the most loved season.
I took a few pictures as we went out during November and December capturing the winter face of Delhi NCR.
A fuel station decked up with stars for Christmas and New Year
On Dec 27th … the Golf Course Road as we dropped Kabir back to his office
The last ten days of December this year were terribly cold. The fact that the temperatures were the second lowest in 100 years didn’t help much – you just felt cold !!
The view from our house … this is around 11 am. 🙂
I may sound crazy but I actually enjoy the fog. It feels like you are surrounded by clouds. I know fog causes disruption but that can be dealt with. I love driving in the fog because suddenly the unruly Delhi driver becomes a really cautious one.
Today we left really early as we had to meet our CA in Ashok Vihar by 8.30. The following four pictures are from the morning trip –
Life in a metro, through a metro pillar 🙂
Beautiful buildings that can fit in anywhere in the “developed” world
Another beautiful day begins …. missing Anubha, but feeling her positive spirit throughout.
