Reply ↓ Bindu Krishnan February 21, 2017 • 8:10 am Yes Katharine, absolutely. I actually wanted to say “health” here means both physical and mental health. Often we only focus on the physical well being of a person and don’t look at the mental health. The modern way of living makes one ignore mental health altogether. Reply ↓ katharineotto February 21, 2017 • 8:17 am Agreed. Rather, mental health is partitioned off and considered separately. The acupuncture paradigm I subscribe to says all physical problems begin as spiritual problems. If they are not resolved on spiritual planes, they become increasingly “dense,” as emotional or intellectual problems, and finally manifested on the physical plane. Modern lifestyles, maybe especially in the US, are crazy-making indeed, and may partially explain why we are so fat, sickly, and broke (despite claims to the contrary).
