Joginder Nagar is not touristy … It’s just a stopover location as one goes from Kullu or Mandi to Dharmshala or vice versa. We used it exactly for that purpose and stayed overnight on April 30th, on our way from Dalhousie to Kullu. But, the hotel surprised us and the views were worth staying a few more days. In fact Baijnath Shiva temple and Bir, Billing (World’s 2nd best place for paragliding) are close by from Joginder Nagar.
Hotel – HPTDC property Hotel Uhl
Rooms – Large rooms, lots of parking and a great attendant. The bathrooms are a little small but you have a small dressing alcove which is very useful.
Wi-fi – Airtel remains in 3G as does Vodafone !! Another surprise 🙂 and a pleasant one at that.
Food – we liked the paranthas that were served in the morning and the attendant was sweet enough to heat up our food (sambar rice, no less) on the day we arrived.
My mother loves flowers and here are a series of pictures from Hotel Uhl, which has the most amazing set of flowers. Roses of every colour !!
Ok, I know – my mother is prettier than the flowers, that’s true. Green is her favorite color and that grey sweater is my mistake :):):).
